Every night I look up to the skies and see
Stars staring, shining back at me
More beautiful and bright
Appearing every night

Stars up in the sky
I look up and wonder why
Why is everything in life so tough?
Why don't you have it much more rough?

Ever glowing, ever joyous, always alight
I wish I may, I wish I might
Make a wish upon a star
Hope it's not so far

Stars so high, so calm
I wish to hold you in my palm
I want to be as independant as you
I want to fly so high, up above the skies, too

Catch some twinkling stars as they come quickly falling
To finally reach the stars is my true calling
I know where I will now always belong
